Unique New Project working with engineer extraordinaire, Paul Special - April 6, 2012

I have a exciting new project that began this week, working with audio engineer extraordinaire, Paul Special. Having engineered over 100 albums, Paul was up for a GRAMMY this year with a cd he did with, none other than, JEFF BECK. As part of an audio class he teaches at CCNY, we are recording/mixing two new songs of mine, featuring a new, up and coming vocalist on one of the tracks, and the incomparable, Joanne Lediger singing on the other.
We will be using horn players from CCNY, and string players from Julliard. We tracked the rhythm track for one of the songs this past Tuesday, with Frank Pagano on drums, Craig Akin on bass, and myself on keyboards. The students set us up on the stage of an amphitheatre at CCNY, and we cut the rhythm track live. This project will be finished later in May- this is going to be a blast...will keep you posted!
